Electronic brachytherapy (eBx) treatment utilizing the Xoft® Axxent® Electronic Brachytherapy (eBx®) System® should be delivered by trained medical personnel.
Xoft provides training to customers on the safe use and operation of the Xoft System including physics training at our San Jose, CA training facility and on-site in-service training to physicians as part of the customer’s first patient(s) case support. Training topics include, but are not limited to, handling and use of the Axxent® x-ray source catheters, applicators and accessories, familiarity of the Axxent® controller and its operation, radiation safety and emergency procedures, and dosimetry and treatment planning.
