Axxent^® HDR X-ray Source

The Axxent HDR X-ray Source delivers high dose rate, low energy radiation treatment without the use of radioactive isotopes. As a fully integrated delivery system, the Axxent HDR X-ray Source allows for treatment planning and dose distribution to the target area while minimizing exposure to the nearby healthy tissue. Combined with the complete Axxent eBx™ System, the HDR X-ray Source offers the best of dose optimization along with the most accessible HDR brachytherapy.

• Axxent FlexiShield^® attenuates radiation exposure to the patient's healthy tissue and allows treatment personnel to remain in the treatment room.
• Emits radiation only when X-ray source is turned on.
• Source voltage and current can be modulated, permitting Intensity Modulated Brachytherapy (Xoft IMBT™) in future applications.
